- Graduation events: At Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú, commencement marks the moment cadets transition from disciplined training to a lifetime of leadership and service. Learn more about the events surrounding graduation, commissioning, and more here.
- Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿ÚBookstore: Need swag? The will be open during graduation events — Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, May 17 from 12 to 4.
- Bulldogs in the Bullpen: Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úbaseball looks to close out the semester strong with three games against Institute rivals The Citadel: Thursday May 14 at 6 p.m., Friday May 15 at 6 p.m. and Saturday, May 16 at 1 p.m.
- Commitment to Affordability: Financial aid is able to offset a large portion of the cost of attendance for qualified applicants, and 84% of the Corps of Cadets receives some form of this aid each year on average. For those on ROTC scholarship who are also selected for Call to Duty scholarships, the cost drops to $3,600. The choice of attending Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú was a chance for Maximus Ankrah ’26 to obtain a clean slate. He’s done some difficult things and overcome challenges that others may not see, but that shared suffering and battling adversity make Ankrah proud to be a Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úcadet.

VMI’s Civil Discourse Initiative Expands
VMI’s Center for Leadership and Ethics (CLE) started holding debates in 2021, and then partnered with VMI’s Building BRIDGES club in 2022 to grow the opportunities and audiences for the debates. CDI, the name for the program since last year, now offers year-round programming.

A gathering of department members, both past and present, was held recently to observe the ending of the program and reminisce about the professors who taught German at the Institute since J.T.L. Preston in 1839.

CyDef Lab Offers Workshops for Middle and High School Students
The Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú Cyber Defense Laboratory (CyDef) will host its annual CyberSmart workshop for middle school students, Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11, and for high school students, Monday June 15 through Thursday, June 18 in Marshall Hall on post.
