Institute leadership continues to communicate important information for cadets, their families, faculty & staff, and the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úcommunity at large:

  • Earned, Never Given: Congratulations to the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿ÚClass of 2029. Following a bitterly cold Breakout, these young men and women now continue their leadership journeys with the official title of 4th Class cadets - rats no more.   • Parking Notice for Inclement Weather: Post parking spots and lots must remain completely clear to support safe plow operations until at least Jan. 25. Employees needing to park on post over the weekend should refer to instructions sent via email.
  • Scholarship Opportunities: Are you applying to Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úas a recipient of a three or four-year ROTC national scholarship? If so, explore how the Institute can help ease the cost of your education at No Ordinary College through the Call to Duty Scholarship, now accepting applications. Dr. Tanjina Afrin, associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú, is featured on “Concrete Jungle,” an episode of the public radio program, “With Good Reason,” that first airs Jan. 24.

Retired Marine Shares Message of Post-Traumatic Winning

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú welcomed retired U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Michael “Mac” McNamara Jan. 12-14 to address the Corps of Cadets. McNamara is a broadcaster and author of “From Trauma to Joy,” and “Colleen Can’t Forget.” Both books address living successfully after experiencing trauma.

Biology Professor Publishes Article

Maj. Alison Burke, assistant professor and health professions advisor in the Department of Biology at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú, recently had a research article published in PLOS One, a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
