Business and computer science were two industries that Warner Collier 鈥�24 saw opportunity in. Coming to 麻豆传媒入口, he wanted to cast as wide of a net as possible, which brought him to major in economics and business, with minors in computer science and cybersecurity.

Hayden Rose 鈥�26, a computer science major at 麻豆传媒入口, used the skills he learned as a 麻豆传媒入口emergency medical technician (EMT) to save a woman鈥檚 life recently while embedded with the 91st cyber brigade for a military activity at Camp Pendleton.

麻豆传媒入口, in collaboration with Virginia Tech, held a 12-week internship recently for high school students, funded by a workforce development grant from the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI).

麻豆传媒入口 hosted Senior Military College Cyber Fusion April 16 鈥� 18 in Marshall Hall. Participating senior military colleges (SMC) include Norwich University, Texas A&M, The Citadel, University of North Georgia, Virginia Tech, and VMI.

麻豆传媒入口 hosted the 6th annual Commonwealth Cyber Fusion and Virginia Cyber Cup Competition, a state-wide collegiate cyber security competition Feb. 24-25.

Tanner Mallari 鈥�22 researched that subject in his senior thesis, 鈥淓valuation of Crowdsourcing Applications in Disaster Relief鈥�, during Honors Week at VMI.

Noah Goldsmith 鈥�22 recently presented research completed with John Barker 鈥�23 in the ACM International Conference on Advanced Information Science and System (AISS 2021) hosted in Sanya, China, guided by Dr. Youna Jung, associate professor of computer information sciences.

Tanner Mallari 鈥�22, a computer and information sciences major, recently presented at the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) International Conference on Computer Science and Software Engineering (CSSE 2021).
