Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to help assist Physical Plant processes and procedures. 

Job Duties:

  • Coordinate delivery of freight and movement of surplus property with customers both internal and external to the department.
  • Issue materials to maintenance teams and tracks inventory within Computerized Maintenance Management System, Megamation.
  • Coordinate delivery of requested material through work order system
  • Support Supply mission by assisting with annual inventory audit.
  • Utilize the CMMS Megamation to account for inventory and to recover the costs through the work order system.
  • Receive a variety of shipments for VMI, verifying and entering receipt of each shipment into CMMS inventory system.
  • Compare packing slips against purchase orders, count items for verification, and indicate any discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory control for all items ensuring that all items are properly identified and readily accessible.
  • Offload freight and stock shelves in central location as each delivery arrives; assist in general maintenance and clean-up of stockroom.
  • Operate the forklift to pull, load, and move merchandise and materials.
  • Operate a delivery vehicle with liftgate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with computers a must
  • Frequent lifting and moving of packages required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Additional Considerations:

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations preferred to utilize computerized inventory control system.
  • High school diploma or GED.

The Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú Center for Cadet Counseling is seeking a mental health professional (Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker) to join our collaborative team.  
While Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úis state-supported undergraduate senior military college, it is fundamentally an institute of higher education serving 1,500 college students.  Prior military experience is not required to succeed in this position. If you have a professional interest and expertise in working with college students and emerging adult population, we highly encourage you to apply.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, in-person, short-term individual counseling
  • Conduct intakes, triage appointments, and crisis assessments
  • Develop, plan, and facilitate outreach programs and consultations for the campus community
  • Provide consultation services with faculty, staff, parents, and cadets
  • Provide substance abuse assessments and psychoeducation group
  • Assist with cadet retention activities
  • Provide on-call, after-hours coverage on a rotating basis with other clinical staff
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation using an electronic health record.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, legal regulations, and university policies, including confidentiality and mandated reporting requirements.
  • Engage in assigned committee service and other functions that contribute to the academic mission of the Institute
  • The performance of other functions assigned by the Director that contribute to the service offerings of the CCC and the academic mission of the Institute.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in clinical or counseling psychology or closely related field.
  • Licensed or license eligible within the next 3 months in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  
  • Demonstrated understanding of adherence to ethical codes and applicable state and federal laws regarding the provision of mental health services.

Additional Considerations:

  • A Doctorate degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Previous training and experience in a college or university counseling center.  
  • Well-developed counseling and crisis intervention skills.
  • A collaborative spirit of warmth, acceptance, respect, and trust towards colleagues.

This is an athletic department staff appointment in the office of Sports Medicine.  This individual will report to the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and work directly with the Sports Medicine office, athletic department staff, Post Physician, Team Physicians, and other institute offices.   


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES 

  • Assist the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine in all aspects of intercollegiate athletic team coverage for 18 sports. 
  • Primary sport coverage:  Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úis in a transition period of increasing sports medicine staff. There are two full-time positions available.  Assistant football/water polo/swim. Responsible for all aspects of medical coverage to include prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and referral of athletic injuries.  Sport assignments subject to change.

  • Communication with sports medicine staff, Post Physician, Post Nurse Practitioner, and Team Physicians, and department administration. 
  • Administrative duties to include:  Inventory, product check in, concussion inventory for NCAA, tracking CPR/first aid certification card documentation. 
  • Athletic training clinic with Team physicians 
  • Maintain full commitment to compliance with NCAA, Southern Conference, and Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú rules and regulations. 
  • Contribute to departmental administrative efforts and sports medicine coverage in other areas as needed in athletics and the Corps of Cadets. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Degree completed in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health & Human Services, or similar field of study. 
  • 1-2 years of experience working in the Sports Medicine/Athletic Training field. 
  • BOC certification.

Additional Considerations:

  • Master’s degree preferred in Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Health & Human Services.

The administrative assistant is often the first point of public contact for Preston Library by telephone, email and/or in person.  Special attention to these opportunities for friendly and clear communication is essential to the library’s mission and day-to-day operations.    

The position reports to the Director of the library.  

This is a part-time hourly position; ~26 hrs/week; schedule is flexible. 

Job Duties:

  • Respond to and manage room reservation system (25Live) requests for meeting rooms in Preston Library and support events set up
  • Manage Physical Plant work orders for facilities maintenance, housekeeping
  • Provide administrative support and process authorization forms for library staff members, travel, and/or special event planning
  • Monitor library asset inventory
  • Monitor library’s public printers and replenish paper supply
  • Coordinate with IT, as needed
  • Support library communications and calendaring
  • Sorting daily delivery of internal and external mail items
  • Ordering and coordinating catering requests for building events
  • Liaison with campus support services
  • Provide support for ILL, as needed
  • Provide support for the circulation, desk as needed

Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Auxiliary Services.
  • Responsible for answering phones, greeting visitors and directing them to the proper department.

The incumbent must also successfully complete a course of instruction at a police academy approved by the Virginia DCJS (unless currently certified as a Police Officer through DCJS in the Commonwealth of Virginia).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently certified as a Police Officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia;
  • Previous law enforcement, military or security experience; and
  • Previous experience at Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úor another college/university
  • College-level coursework in criminal justice

Job Description:

Primary responsibility is measuring and fitting of uniform items for all Cadets.  Other duties include providing customer service in the Military Store, executing sales & charge transactions, maintaining ongoing inventory & maintaining records as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic training, experience and knowledge of alterations, measurements, and fitting clothing.
  • Ability to physically lift merchandise (up to 50lbs) to stock shelves and move inventory as needed.
  • Knowledge of cash register/credit card operations, inventory procedures & basic mathematics desired.
  • Must be self-motivated, customer-oriented, possess excellent communications skills & enjoy working in a team atmosphere.

Position Overview: 

The Weekend Manager is responsible for overseeing daily museum operations on Saturdays and Sundays, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for all visitors while maintaining efficient store and site management.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Open and close the museum, including completing end-of-day cash reconciliation and reporting
  • Supervise Visitor Services Technicians, supporting their work as interpreters in the house and clerks in the museum store
  • Provide guided tours and assist visitors with the self-guided tour experience as needed
  • Process ticket and retail sales in the museum store as needed
  • Provide coverage for Visitor Services Technicians during breaks, including lunch periods
  • Monitor and maintain museum store inventory, including restocking merchandise
  • Ensure public spaces are clean, orderly, and visitor-ready throughout the day
  • Assist with special projects and support overall museum operations as assigned

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey historical information clearly and accurately
  • Customer service mindset with attentiveness to visitor needs
  • Dependability, punctuality, and sound judgment
  • Ability to follow established procedures and enforce museum policies
  • Basic proficiency with point-of-sale systems, computers, and phones
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays

Starting pay $17.00/hour.
