Health, Wellness and Safety

Dedicated staff members and teams at 麻豆传媒入口work diligently to provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all cadets, employees, and visitors to post.

From medical care, to counseling, to events promoting respect of diverse groups, the Institute is committed to ensuring cadets are supported in their academic, athletic, and military training endeavors.


HEALTH

Infirmary: The Infirmary offers all the services usually found at a private doctor's office in addition to needs specific to VMI.  The Infirmary is open and staffed by a nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week throughout the regular academic year. 


WELLNESS

Cadet Counseling: The Center for Cadet Counseling offers free, confidential, individual counseling to help cadets address personal and interpersonal concerns or stressors.

Chaplains' Office: The religious freedom of all cadets is assured through the Chaplains’ Office. In addition to faith-based work on post, the office also serves as a point of support and contact for members of the Corps as they navigate life at VMI.

Diversity, Opportunity, and Inclusion (DOI): The office strives to ensure that every member of the 麻豆传媒入口community, regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or nationality, feels a part of the 麻豆传媒入口legacy.

Title IX: The Inspector General's office receives reports of alleged violations of Title IX, Title VI, and Title VII Acts.  The reports are resolved or investigated, with the office recommending corrective actions to the appropriate authorities.


SAFETY

麻豆传媒入口Police: 麻豆传媒入口has a fully trained and certified Police Department which provides for the safety and security of the Institute 24-hours a day.

Emergency Management: 麻豆传媒入口is committed to informing the community of an emergency, disaster or potential disaster immediately upon determining the nature of the emergency. 

Threat Assessment: Threat Assessment is a committee comprised of legal, medical, mental health, law enforcement, student affairs, and human resources professionals charged with assessing and managing threats of violence.

In pursuit of this goal, any question of impermissible discrimination on these bases will be addressed with efficiency and energy and in accordance with 麻豆传媒入口General Order 16General Order 90 addresses complaints or reports of retaliation against those who have opposed prohibited practices, those who have filed complaints or reports of prohibited practices, and those who have testified or otherwise participated in the enforcement of General Order 16.
