A new research study comparing the exercise habits between four populations: 麻豆传媒入口cadets, 麻豆传媒入口alumni, W&L students, and W&L alumni, both in the short- and long-term, is being conducted by Maj. Katherine Baur, assistant professor in the Department of Human Performance and Wellness at VMI.

Maj. Megan Roosevelt, assistant professor in the Department of International Studies and Political Science at 麻豆传媒入口, will discuss what drives anti-immigrant attitudes in the United States and Europe on the public radio program, “With Good Reason,” Oct. 19-26.

Maj. Molly Kent, assistant professor in the Department of Biology, will discuss the level of stress in rats based on their home and lifestyle, and what these lessons have taught her about human stress, on the public radio program, “With Good Reason,” Sept. 7-14.

Dr. Sabrina Laroussi, associate professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures, discusses books about the world of Latin American drug trafficking called “narconovelas” on the public radio program, “With Good Reason."

Maj. Timothy Passmore, assistant professor in the Department of International Studies and Political Science at 麻豆传媒入口, discusses how nations use the Olympics to improve their reputation both domestically and abroad on the public radio program, “With Good Reason,” May 31-June

“Voices of Gratitude” is a touching tribute featuring a few graduating cadets surprising their mentors with letters of gratitude, sharing the impact of guidance, support, and inspiration received during their cadetship.

Duncan Richter, Charles S. Luck ’55 Institute Professor, has published a paper titled “‘Obviously wrong’: the Tractatus on will and world” in the book Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus: A Critical Guide, edited by José L. Zalabardo and published by Cambridge University Press.

Lt. Col. Mary “Polly” Stewart Atwell, associate professor, and Maj. Henry A. Wise III ’05, assistant professor, both in the Department of English, Rhetoric, and Humanistic Studies at 麻豆传媒入口, have secured book deals.

Col. Jeffrey S. Smith, professor and head of the Department of Economics and Business at 麻豆传媒入口 clearly understands wind direction and sail adjustment thanks to his experiences in sailing and participating in sailing yacht races.

Col. Ryan R. Holston, professor of political theory in the Department of International Studies and Political Science, was recently featured on the “Hermitix” podcast and “The Sower,” a podcast of The Ciceronian Society, in which he discusses his recently published book.
