The Institute welcomes Capt. Eli B. Facemire ’19 as the new associate chaplain. During his cadetship, Facemire majored in psychology; held rank his 3rd and 2nd Class years; served on the general committee as class president; sang with the Men in Grey; was a cadre corporal; and was a cadet chaplain.

Maj. Gen. Cedric T. Wins ’85, superintendent, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV), that provides Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Únearly $4 million over four years to boost enrollment and success of low income and Pell Grant-eligible cadets at the Institute.

COW Program Transforms Youths at VMI

The College Orientation Workshop, Inc. (COW) program returned to Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Úthis summer, marking its 37th year of transforming the lives of promising, male, minority high school students. This program offers education, leadership and character building, and physical training at no cost to the students.

National Student Clearinghouse Cybersecurity Incident Being Closely Monitored

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Èë¿Ú has been made aware of a National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) cybersecurity incident with one of their third-party software vendors, MOVEit Transfer. There are thousands of colleges and universities that use NSC for maintaining student data and gathering reports.
