Two Air Force ROTC cadets have been recognized by the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). SAME, which focuses on building leaders to address national security infrastructure challenges, honored Eric Munro '21 and Leon Thomas ’22 with a Southeast Region ROTC Award.

The officer, who will report to the superintendent, will liaison with the recently formed Board of Visitors Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, as well as with the Commonwealth’s chief diversity officer and associated offices within the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.

Colonel William J. Wanovich ’87, commandant of the 麻豆传媒入口Corps of Cadets since 2014, will retire at the end of the 2020-21 academic year.

Col. Valentina Dimitrova-Grajzl, professor of economics and business at 麻豆传媒入口, will discuss access to consumer credit for those living on or near American Indian reservations in the United States on the public radio program With Good Reason Jan. 23-29.

Registration is now open for the 麻豆传媒入口Center for Leadership & Ethics 2021 Leadership Conference, “Strong Leaders, Strong Teams.” This event will be held online Feb. 15-16 and will explore a progression of teamwork principles.

The superintendent regrets to inform the 麻豆传媒入口community of the death of Dr. Arnold "Arnie" Joyce. He passed away in Lexington on 23 December 2020 at the age of 82.
